Adobo Grill is a Paul LoDuca enterprise along with his Italian restaurant, Vinci. It has a very nice wine list, as well as a large assortment of wines by the glass. They also serve a really nice Margarita. The guacamole is mashed tableside in a large stone mortar, spiced & seasoned to order. This nice touch means you know the guacamole is fresh. There are 4 different cerviches on the menu and we tried the tuna and the scallops. Both were excellent. I had the adobo shrimp in a smoky chipotle sauce. There were 4 of us at the latest visit and we shared the guacamole, the assortment of 4 salsas and the grilled baby octopus. The octopus was very tender and served in a wonderfully spicy sauce. The beef filet in a green salsa with black beans was delicious. The vegetarian platter had a stuffed chayote squash, black beans, a potato cake and more. I also tasted the duck breast in mole. On another visit, I enjoyed the Arrachera adobado (marinated grilled beef ) served with a rice cake. For lunch, I had the torta Milanese which was crispy and delicious. For dessert, order the chocolate tamale. This is something that I have never seen on a Mexican menu before and should not be missed. Service is excellent.
