Taylor Street is certainly changing when a French restaurant opens there. And a very good one at that. Tehy have a very nice bistro menu with several daily specials. On our last visit, I had the steak frites which were perfectly cooked. I also enjoyed the smoked salmon plate. On one visit, we shared the wild mushroom tart with a rich sauce. The crust was light and flaky. The steak au poivre was very good and the huge pile of frites were thin cut and crispy. We also enjoyed the profiteroles. Previously, we shared the leek tart and the pate plate with a creamy duck pate and a rich liver pate. Another fine entree was the spaghetti with fruits des mer. It was full of clams, mussels, shrimp and scallops. The lemon tart with the almond crust had a wonderful tangy filling and a crispy crust. The grilled salmon special had a delicious saffron sauce. The tomato, onion & roquefort salad was enough for 2 people to share. I enjoyed the grilled salmon special. The wine list is a nice mix of French and American wines with a fairly good selection by the glass. Service is consistently very good.
