In this large exposed brick room where a few sheer curtains offer a little privacy, some of the best Italian food in Chicago is served. The cuisine is northern Italian with wonderful risottos & polentas. The wine list is all Italian & can be a little pricey. We have shared the beet & gorgonzola salad and the Ceasar salad. Other fine starters were the frito misto and the roasted mushrooms. The grilled T-bone pork chop was juicy and delicious. It came with sauted wild mushrooms and truffle-scented mashed potatoes. The raviolini with goat cheese served with flaked shad roe was also excellent. We enjoyed the ricotta & truffle ravioli. Another excellent entree was the pork chop milanese with gorgonzola polenta. It was delicious and very filling. On a lunch visit, I had the pizza with mozzarella, mushrooms & truffle oil. I've also enjoyed the tagliolini with shrimp & mushrooms and the roast quail. Among other dishes I enjoyed were the pork tenderloin & the linguini with lobster. Service is always been efficient & accommodating.
