This is a very pleasant restaurant located 2 blocks north of the Southport Avenue restaurant row. It is a double storefront with exposed brick walls. The interior has been changed with new artwork on the walls and the chef, Carol Wallack, one of the 2 sisters who ran the place, has moved on to open Sola. The menu is eclectic with a wide variety of choices.  The wine list is small but sufficient, with reasonable prices. There are about 10 tables with umbrellas set up outside on Southport. On our latest visit, I liked the arugula salad and the stuffed pork tenderloin with a savory peach cobbler, more like a peach stuffing. The goat cheese cheesecake was delicious. Previously, we shared the endive, apple, watercress, pecan & blue cheese salad as well as several appetizers for dinner.  We had the polenta with wild mushrooms and truffle oil, the pan seared mussels and the crab and scallion cakes. We had a delicious white Burgundy with the meal. We've been here for lunch several times & enjoyed the black beans & guacamole BLT sandwich, the grilled cheese sandwich, and the grilled ham & mozzarella.  The entrees of grilled pork chop with sweet tostones was good and so was the seared ahi tuna with portabello mushrooms. We were there on a Wednesday night and all bottles of wine on the wine list were  half priced. A good bargain.
