Chef Jean Joho who also owns Brasserie Jo and started the Corner Bakery chain has created one of the finest dining experiences in the city. With spectacular views from the 40th floor of the Chicago Stock Exchange Building, the menu is also stratospheric. I started with the NYS foie gras over a cabbage compote then the cold corn soup with seared scallop. For an entree, I had the veal tenderloin with chanterelles and asparagus. I finished with the selection of 5 chocolate desserts. I also tried the risotto with snails & a reisling sauce and the baked sea bass Alsatian style. The wine list is extensive and expensive but not intimidating. The service was exceptional without being condescending. i think that overall, it is the best restaurant in Chicago.
