FLIGHT

A new addition to the downtown street at the former Naval Air Station in Glenview. The name Flight refers to both the flights of wine offered from an very pleasant wine list and the air station. Wines are available by the taste, a 3 oz. portion for part of a flight, a glass, or a bottle. There are 6 preset flights with descriptive cards, or you can create your own. In addition to the fine wines, there are 10 appetizers and 10 entrees on an upscale menu.  We shared the crab cakes with a roasted pepper relish. The cakes were all crab meat in small breaded puffs. We also had the Mediterranean platter with hummus, feta, olives and a roasted red pepper salsa. For an entree, I enjoyed the rack of lamb on truffle scented orzo. With the lamb, I had a flight of Malbecs. It worked very well with the entree. I also like the hanger steak with the beranaise sauce and the frites cut thick abnd stacked.  Service was friendly and efficient.
