This Chinese restaurant in the heart of the northside Asian community serves the best dim sum outside of Chinatown. On weekends, the upstairs dining room is bustling with lots of food carts rolling along the aisles between the large tables. The standard dim sum dishes of shrimp dumplings, pork siu mai, beef dumplings and shrimp in rice noodles are available as well as a large assortment of vegetarian dim sum. Desserts include egg custard tartlets with a flaky crust and a creamy filling, bean paste with sesame seeds and sweet potato fritters. There are Cantonese and Mandarin dishes on the menu but it is much more fun to order from the carts. Service is friendly and the dim sum carts circle the room frequently.
On weekdays, service is downstairs and the carts don't circulate.
When you are ready, the cart will come to you with all the choices.
