In the same building as the Royal George Theater and directly across the street from Steppenwolf Theater, this restaurant is ideally located for pre- and post theater dining. The funky multi-level interior with second floor kitchens serves up some excellent food. We started with 2 appetizers, the heirloom tomato salad and the goat cheese ravioli. Another nice appetizer is the latkes with smoked salmon. For an entree, I had a delicious BBQ pork chop on creamy grits. Think polenta. The English pea risotto was flavorful and properly firm. Another nice ntree was the ahi tuna with fingerling potatoes. I shared the chocolate chip cookie filled with warm chocolate and butter pecan ice cream. Service was pleasant and unrushed after it was determined we weren't heading off to the theater.
