Le Bouchon

This is a wonderful little bistro in Wicker Park/ Bucktown. The owners also have another restaurant, La Sardine, in the West Loop. The tables are close together but the restaurant has an authentic French feel. The wine list is entirely French with some very nice choices. The warm goat cheese salad was ample and large enough to share. The onion tart was in a shell that was rich and flaky while the filling was almost creamy. On our latest visit, I had the sweetbreads special which was slightly crispy on the outside and tender inside. The steak frites came with a delicious herb butter and excellent thin crispy fries. Service was very good.
