This is Lettuce Entertain You's big brassy Italian restaurant. It has a long bar with many tables. This area can be very noisy. In nice weather, several tables are added outside on Huron Street. The restaurant has been around for over a decade which says a lot about its staying power. We shared a pear and gorgonzola salad with carmelized walnuts and a wonderful tuna carpaccio. For an entree, I selected the herb roasted pork tenderloin on mashed potatoes. I also tried the penne with gorgonzola. On another visit we shared an excellent caprese salad with heirloom, cherry & sliced tomatoes and a tangy roasted pepper, arugula & goat cheese salad. I enjoyed the baked smoked chicken ravioli with a parmesan cream sauce. The spaghetti special with goat cheese & fresh tomatoes had a healthy dose of garlic. For dessert, we shared the chocolate truffle cake. It was creamy smooth with a delicious crunchy chocolate slice set through the cake. The wine list has been expanded from all Italian to include some American wines and the price range is considerable.
