In a beautifully remodeled industrial space, Shiraz Restaurant serves excellent Mediterranean food. The owners are Persian and the menu reflects this. A platter of feta, tomatoes and pickled vegetables along with excellent pita bread comes to the table as soon as you are seated. Appetizers include delicious hummus and baba ganoush. The choice of kabobs include beef, sausage, lamb, shrimp and scallops. I especially enjoyed the genjeh (filet mignon cubes) and the shrimp. Dill or plain basmati rice and vegetables accompany the dishes. The menu includes vegetarian selections as well as chicken dishes and stews. The restaurant has a full bar with a small selection of wines and beers. Service is friendly and efficient. There is no valet parking but street parking is is not difficult. On Saturdays, there is a belly dancer.
