The Stained Glass Wine Bar and Bistro is located in downtown Evanston. The wine choices are vast and quite a few are available in tasting flights. While a little expensive, the flights are well thought out and interesting. I started with a Bibb lettuce salad with feta cheese and walnuts. Another good starter was the grilled apple and watercress salad. As an entree, I enjoyed the bacon wrapped pork tenderloin medallions served with sweet plantains and red mole. I also enjoyed the grilled sea scallops on coconut sticky rice with vegetable tempura. Another excellent entree was the tuna tuna tuna which consisted of tuna sashimi with pickled ginger, tuna tartare, and pastrami cured tuna. It was a wonderful assortment. The service was good.
