The Elephant

This pleasant restaurant in Edgebrook has been open since 2005. The storefront is bright and cheerful. They have no liquor license but you can bring your own wine or beer. We shared several excellent appetizers including the chive dumplings with a sweetened soy dipping sauce, springrolls, and chicken satay with a peanut sauce that was better than most. On another visit, we tried the crab rolls wrapped in a tofu skin. We tasted the emerald noodles with crab meat and shrimp. This was a special made with spinach linguini. I liked the panang curry with shrimp and the praram chicken. I especially liked the crispy red snapper with a sweet and sour pepper sauce. The beef and broccoli was fresh and the broccoli crisp.
