This large, open restaurant with high ceilings is inviting and comfortable. It has lots of booths and tables that are spread far enough apart for conversation. The wine list is small and reasonably priced. Good choices for appetizers are the salmon cakes and the corn cakes with grilled shrimp. The pulled pork sandwich is not smothered in BBQ sauce so that the flavor of the meat comes through. The North Carolina crab cakes with sautéed spinach and home fries are very good. The restaurant makes its own veggie burgers and they are delicious – much better than the frozen prepackaged ones. The key lime pie is too sweet and not as tart as I like. Service is good.
